About this program
Of AIB's five MBA specialisations, Finance is the one most directly aimed at students planning a move into corporate finance, financial management or investment-adjacent roles rather than general management. The first eight subjects are the same core every AIB MBA candidate completes (accounting, economics, organisational behaviour, strategy, operations, business law, marketing and corporate finance) before specialisation units narrow into financial analysis, valuation and corporate financial strategy.
As with the rest of AIB's MBA cohort, the degree runs entirely online in eight-week terms, with the final capstone project typically built around a genuine finance-related business problem drawn from the student's own employer or industry, rather than a hypothetical case study.
It's a reasonable option for accountants, financial analysts or finance-adjacent managers who want the broader strategic and leadership grounding of an MBA rather than a narrower Master of Finance, while still coming out with specialised financial coursework on the transcript.
