Graduate Diploma in Management
Australian Institute of Business, Adelaide, SA, Australia
About this program
The Graduate Diploma is the middle tier of AIB's nested management qualification, sitting one level above a bachelor's degree at AQF Level 8, and it's built for people who already have management experience and want to formalise it rather than start postgraduate study from zero. Completing its eight core subjects (which double as the first eight subjects of the MBA) gives direct entry into the full Master of Business Administration if a student wants to keep going, so nothing done at this level is wasted if ambitions grow.
Subjects run in the same eight-week terms as AIB's MBA, entirely online, and cover the functional core of business management: accounting, marketing, strategy, HR, operations, without yet layering in a specialisation or capstone research project, both of which are reserved for the final MBA stage.
It's a common choice for managers who want the credibility of a postgraduate qualification for a promotion case but aren't yet ready to commit to (or pay for) the full MBA, with the option to upgrade later without repeating coursework.
