Master of Arts
Avondale University, Cooranbong, NSW, Australia
About this program
Avondale's Master of Arts is a coursework postgraduate degree that mirrors the BA's breadth into postgraduate territory, with a Theology and Religious Studies concentration being the most established pathway given the Seminary's presence on the Cooranbong campus. Students who did their undergraduate degree elsewhere and want to formalise theological study without committing to a full Master of Divinity often land here.
Because cohorts are small, the degree runs with a good deal of supervisory attention per student, and a research project or minor thesis component in the final stage of the degree is standard rather than optional. This isn't a pure coursework-only credential; it expects candidates to produce a piece of independent research under supervision by the end.
