Bachelor of Psychological Science
Bond University, Gold Coast, QLD, Australia
About this program
The Bachelor of Psychological Science is accredited with conditions by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council and approved by the Psychology Board of Australia, and it's built to count as the first three years of the standard six-year pathway to registration as a psychologist. Bond's three-trimester calendar means students can finish the bachelor's component in two years rather than the usual three, and the full run through to a fourth (honours) year and into a master's-level registration pathway can be completed in four years and eight months.
The subject list covers the breadth APAC requires: biological psychology, cognitive psychology, social psychology, personality and learning, developmental psychology, psychopathology, and cross-cultural psychology all appear across the degree rather than being compressed into one or two survey subjects. Graduates who complete the honours year become eligible to apply for provisional registration with AHPRA and move on to a master's program. The degree is explicitly built as a stepping stone rather than a terminal qualification for most students who take it.
