Master of Business Administration

Bond University, Gold Coast, QLD, Australia

About this program

Bond was Australia's first university to run a genuine three-semester-a-year academic calendar, and the MBA is where that timetable shows up most sharply: the full 12-subject generalist program can be completed in one year and four months of continuous study, roughly half the time a traditional two-semester MBA takes to deliver a comparable subject load. The first trimester front-loads eight core functional subjects delivered as intensive-mode bootcamps (compressed, immersive blocks rather than subjects spread thin across a normal semester) before students move into a business engineering component and then electives where they can build a specialisation.

Because Bond charges the same tuition to domestic and international students, cohorts are unusually mixed for an Australian MBA, and the accelerated calendar tends to attract candidates who want to return to the workforce, or start a venture, without a multi-year career gap. Students who want workplace exposure alongside the degree can take the MBA (Professional) variant, which follows the same subject structure with an additional 20-week professional placement component built in.
