About this program
Bond's Faculty of Law caps annual admission at around 180 students specifically to keep classes small, and the Bachelor of Laws uses that scale to run a genuinely accelerated model: eight semesters across Bond's three-trimester calendar, finishing in two years and eight months rather than the three or four years an LLB takes at a standard two-semester university. Students complete 170 credit points across 32 subjects: 17 compulsory law subjects, seven law electives, three university core subjects and five general electives.
The teaching emphasis sits on practice as much as doctrine: legal research and reasoning, legal writing and drafting, oral advocacy, negotiation and dispute resolution, and legal ethics are built into the compulsory sequence rather than left to a single skills subject. Because trimesters run back-to-back with short breaks, students moving straight through need to plan around a genuinely continuous academic year, which suits those wanting to qualify and move into practice or further study as quickly as possible.

- Compulsory law subjects (17): Contracts, Torts, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Property Law, Equity and Trusts, Administrative Law, Corporations Law, Evidence, Civil Procedure, Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility, and others across the sequence
- Law electives (7 subjects): drawn from areas such as intellectual property, international law, family law, competition law and litigation practice
- University core subjects (3): communication, thinking and analysis subjects taken by all Bond undergraduates
- General electives (5): open to any faculty, used to add breadth or a minor
- Integrated legal skills strand: legal research and writing, oral advocacy, negotiation and dispute resolution embedded across compulsory subjects

Admissions
Completion of Australian Year 12 (or equivalent) with a strong academic record; Bond applies its own admission score rather than a standard ATAR gate.
