CSU's Bachelor of Laws is unusual for a regional university in that it's delivered as much through city-based study centres in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane as from the Bathurst campus itself, which makes it a common choice for people who want a law degree without relocating. The course leans hard into practice readiness: CSU runs its own on-campus legal clinic where students under supervision advise real clients, and the later years fold in professional legal training subjects that in many other degrees are left entirely to the post-degree Practical Legal Training stage.

Core law subjects (contracts, torts, criminal law, property, equity, constitutional and administrative law) cover the Priestley 11 required for admission in every Australian state, and electives let students lean into areas like family law, elder law or Indigenous legal issues, reflecting the regional and rural client base many CSU law graduates end up serving.
