Bachelor of Agricultural Business Management

This degree pairs a genuine agricultural science base with a business major, taught out of CSU's Orange campus where students have direct access to the university's own farms and the EH Graham Centre for Agricultural Innovation, a joint venture with the NSW Department of Primary Industries that gives the course a research-farm feel rather than a lecture-hall-only one.

The first year is common ground in agronomy, animal production and farm business fundamentals before students move into accounting, marketing and agribusiness management units layered over continuing agricultural science. It's aimed at people who expect to run or manage a farm enterprise, work in agribusiness supply chains, or advise producers. It isn't aimed at general business graduates who happen to like the countryside. A supervised industry placement in the final year is a standard feature, usually with an agribusiness, bank rural lending team, or farm management company.
