About this program
The Bachelor of Psychological Science is CQU's APAC-accredited foundation degree: 16 core psychology units plus a minor (either one 8-unit minor or two 4-unit minors) meet the Level 1 competencies needed to progress into the university's own one-year Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) and, from there, into provisional registration pathways toward becoming a psychologist.
The capstone is a supervised applied project tackling a genuine real-world problem rather than a purely theoretical thesis, and the course is offered both online and on-campus, a meaningful distinction for CQU given how much of its psychology cohort studies from regional Queensland towns without ready access to a psychology department. Compared to CQU's separate Bachelor of Science (Psychology), this is the more direct route into the accredited registration pipeline.

- 16 core psychology units covering: Introduction to Psychology, Biological Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Research Methods and Statistics I & II, Personality and Individual Differences, Abnormal Psychology, Psychological Assessment
- Minor: one 8-unit minor or two 4-unit minors from outside psychology
- Capstone: supervised applied research project on a real-world issue
