Bachelor of Arts

CQUniversity Australia, Multi-campus, QLD + national, Australia

About this program

CQU's Bachelor of Arts covers Creative Writing, Literary Studies, Journalism and a Psychology major with a broader, less statistics-heavy approach than the dedicated Bachelor of Psychological Science, a genuine option for students who want psychological literacy without the accreditation-driven statistics load. Each major runs 8 units, generally weighted toward advanced-level content in the second half (Creative Writing runs its own six-unit structure with two double-weighted units, a slightly different shape from the rest).

Work-integrated learning is built in as a placement loosely tied to a student's major discipline rather than a rigid single-track internship, giving CQU's largely regional and online cohort some flexibility about where that placement actually happens, a meaningful accommodation for students who aren't based near a major media or publishing hub but still want the Journalism or Creative Writing major.
