Bachelor of Business
CQUniversity Australia, Multi-campus, QLD + national, Australia
About this program
CQUniversity's Bachelor of Business is unusually broad on majors for a regional university: Accounting, Digital Business, Financial Planning, Hospitality Management, HR Management, Management, Marketing and Property are all on the list, though not every major runs at every campus, so the actual mix a student gets depends heavily on whether they're at Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Cairns, Mackay, Townsville, Brisbane or Sydney, or studying online.
Property and Financial Planning majors stand out as less commonly offered at other Australian business schools; the Financial Planning major in particular is designed against the education standards required for financial adviser registration, giving graduates a direct professional pathway that a generic business degree wouldn't provide. Most students take a double major (two 8-unit blocks) rather than a single major with electives, reflecting CQU's emphasis on giving regional and online students broad employability across multiple functions rather than narrow specialisation.
