Master of Business Management

CQUniversity Australia, Multi-campus, QLD + national, Australia

About this program

Master of Business Management sits as CQU's discipline-based alternative to a full MBA. Core units in applied business research, accounting, finance, HR, marketing and business communication feed into a specific major (Marketing, International Business, HR Management, Leading Organisational Change, or the less common Emergency and Health Services Management), rather than the generalist case-study approach an MBA takes.

The Emergency and Health Services Management major is a genuine point of difference nationally: CQU has strong regional ties to emergency services and health administration in Queensland, and this major reflects that connection directly. Every major offers an optional internship, and a professional practice and career development unit runs through the degree asking students to self-assess their own leadership and management competencies rather than treating that reflection as incidental to the coursework.
