Bachelor of Commerce
Deakin University, Melbourne/Geelong, VIC, Australia
About this program
Deakin Business School holds triple accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA), a status only a small number of business schools worldwide carry, and the Bachelor of Commerce is the school's broad flagship undergraduate degree: students choose from majors including accounting, finance, marketing, management, human resource management and business analytics, or combine more than one. It's offered at Burwood, Geelong Waurn Ponds, and online through Deakin's Cloud Campus, with the same majors generally available across delivery modes.
A distinguishing feature is Deakin's Work Integrated Learning unit requirement, which most commerce majors satisfy through an internship, consulting project with an external organisation, or a simulated business challenge rather than pure coursework. The university markets this heavily as differentiating its commerce graduates from those of pure-theory programs. Students with the accounting major who complete the right unit combination are also eligible for accreditation pathways with CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants ANZ.
