Foundation/Pathway · Communications & Media
Diploma of Marketing and Communication
Greenwich College, Sydney, NSW, Australia
About this program
The diploma covers both traditional marketing fundamentals (market research, campaign development, brand positioning) and the digital and social media skills that most entry-level marketing roles now expect on day one. The balance is deliberate, since a purely traditional marketing curriculum would leave graduates behind on the tools most Australian marketing teams actually use.
Assessment is built around producing a genuine campaign or communications plan, usually for a real or realistic small business brief, so the portfolio students leave with has actual work samples in it rather than just a transcript. Greenwich's Sydney CBD location also gives students reasonably direct access to the agency and media scene for guest input and, less formally, networking.
Graduates use the diploma either as a direct entry point into junior marketing, communications or social media coordinator roles, or as credit toward a partner university marketing or communications degree.
