Griffith Law School runs its LLB out of Nathan, and the thing that distinguishes it from the more traditional Queensland law schools is how early students get put in front of actual clients. The clinical legal education component, placements through Caxton Legal Centre and similar community outfits, starts well before the final year capstone that most competitor programs treat as the only "practical" component.

The degree is Priestley 11 compliant (the national list of core subjects a law degree has to cover for admission purposes), so the compulsory spine looks similar to any Australian LLB, but Griffith's elective bench leans into areas the school has built genuine research strength in: environmental and climate law, given Queensland's Reef and mining exposure, and Indigenous legal issues, an area where Griffith's law academics have had real influence on Queensland's Path to Treaty process.

Most students combine the LLB with a second degree (Business, Arts, or Criminology and Criminal Justice are common pairings at Griffith), which stretches the combined program to five years but tends to sharpen job prospects: commercial law firms recruiting out of Griffith often specifically ask about the second degree during interviews.
