Master of Business Administration

Griffith University, Brisbane/Gold Coast, QLD, Australia

About this program

Griffith's MBA is delivered through the AACSB-accredited Griffith Business School and is built primarily for working professionals. The timetabling (evening and intensive block formats, plus a fully online option) assumes you're doing this alongside a job rather than instead of one, which shapes the case-study-heavy assessment style more than a typical lecture-exam model would.

The degree doesn't force a single specialisation track on everyone; instead it lets students layer electives toward an area of interest (leadership, international business, project management) on top of a shared core, so two Griffith MBA graduates can come out with meaningfully different skill profiles depending on what they chose. The capstone strategy project is normally built around a real organisation, sometimes the student's own employer, sometimes a partner business Griffith has an existing consulting relationship with, which is a deliberate move away from hypothetical Harvard-style cases toward something with actual stakes attached.

Queensland's MBA market is smaller and less saturated than Sydney or Melbourne's, and Griffith's program tends to draw a heavily South-East Queensland cohort working in government, healthcare management, or mid-sized private enterprise rather than the finance-and-consulting skew you'd see in a Group of Eight MBA cohort further south.
