Bachelor of Professional Accounting
Holmes Institute, Multi-campus (Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast), Australia
About this program
This is the undergraduate counterpart to Holmes's Master of Professional Accounting: a three-year, CPA Australia and CA ANZ accredited degree built around the mandated accounting core (financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, tax, corporate law) plus general business units in the earlier years. It's the more common entry point for school leavers or first-degree students who know from the outset that they want to sit for CPA or CA membership after graduating, rather than coming to accounting via a conversion master's later.
The degree's reputation rests less on Holmes's institutional prestige and more on the fact that accreditation requirements are set externally by the professional bodies, so the technical content lines up closely with what's taught at any accredited Australian accounting degree. Where Holmes differentiates is smaller cohort sizes in tutorials and, for many international students, direct progression pathways from Holmes's own diploma and foundation programs into this degree with credit.
