Graduate Diploma of Business

Holmes Institute, Multi-campus (Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast), Australia

About this program

The Graduate Diploma of Business is Holmes's shorter, standalone postgraduate business qualification: eight units over roughly eight months full-time, sitting below the MBA in the institute's course ladder and often used either as a terminal qualification for someone wanting a fast credential upgrade, or as a stepping stone that later articulates into the MBA with advanced standing.

The unit mix covers the standard generalist ground (accounting, marketing, management, economics) without the specialisation and elective units that round out the full MBA, so it's a leaner degree by design. Students who complete it and want to continue can usually move into Holmes's MBA with credit for overlapping units, which is the more common path than treating the Graduate Diploma as a final destination.
