The Accounting specialisation at ICMS sits on the same core 12-subject business spine as the college's other Bachelor of Business streams, then adds the technical accounting sequence (financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, taxation and corporate finance) needed to satisfy the professional accreditation requirements of CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants ANZ. Getting that accreditation lined up matters more for accounting than for most other business majors, since it directly gates the pathway into the CA or CPA program after graduation, and ICMS structures the specialisation units specifically against those bodies' unit requirements.

Like every ICMS undergraduate degree, the course folds in two Work Integrated Learning placements totalling up to 600 hours, which for accounting students commonly means time inside a mid-tier or boutique Sydney accounting firm rather than a classroom-only capstone.
