Master of Business Administration

ICMS's MBA is structured as 12 subjects of coursework plus two Work Integrated Learning subjects, an Action Learning Project and a Professional Placement, rather than the thesis-heavy research pathway some MBAs default to. The college pitches it explicitly around leadership development ('mastery of leadership' is the phrase ICMS itself uses), with a people-first management focus running through the core subjects rather than treating leadership as a single bolted-on unit near the end.

Delivery mixes small lectures, tutorials and workshops with an emphasis on industry research, and units are also available online for students who can't attend the Manly campus full-time, a flexibility that matters given a chunk of the MBA cohort is working while studying. Full-time completion runs two years, and international graduates become eligible for post-study work visas of up to five years, a detail that matters enormously to the significant international contingent in ICMS's postgraduate programs generally.

The Action Learning Project asks students to work through a real strategic problem, typically sourced from their own employer or an industry partner, while the Professional Placement adds direct workplace experience for students who haven't already accumulated substantial industry tenure.
