Master of Business Administration

RMIT University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia

About this program

RMIT's MBA runs across three study periods a year rather than the usual two semesters - full-time students take four courses per period and can finish in 1.5 years, which is fast for an MBA with this level of accreditation. The full program is 16 courses (192 credit points), but anyone who already holds a business-related bachelor's completed within the last decade only needs 12 - a meaningful discount for people who did a business or commerce undergrad and are coming back for the MBA credential rather than a career pivot.

The genuinely distinctive feature is the international study tour option: intensive units delivered in Vietnam or France that count as a 12-credit-point elective, combining an actual overseas trip with coursework rather than treating international exposure as a marketing photo. Electives can otherwise be pulled from other RMIT postgraduate programs, so students can lean the degree toward tech, health, or design management depending on where they're headed.

Teaching mixes lectures, studio-style workshops, and syndicate (small-group) work, reflecting an emphasis on group project delivery that mirrors how most MBA-holders actually operate once employed - in cross-functional teams, not solo.
