Master of Public Health

Torrens University Australia, Multi-campus, national, Australia

About this program

Torrens runs both a standard Master of Public Health (1.5 years full-time, one year accelerated) and a Master of Public Health (Advanced), a two-year version aimed at health professionals who want deeper grounding in the social determinants of health rather than a faster generalist qualification. The Advanced stream is explicitly framed as building on existing clinical or health-sector experience rather than being a from-scratch entry point.

Torrens also offers combined degrees pairing an MPH with a Master of Global Project Management or a Master of Business Administration, aimed at students who want public health content married to leadership or project-delivery credentials, a combination that's more common among students already working in health system management or NGO/government health roles than clinicians heading toward direct patient care.

Delivered on campus at Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide as well as online, with core public health methods (epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy) underpinning both the standard and Advanced streams.
