About this program

UC frames its MBA around the fact that Canberra is the seat of national government as much as a business centre, pitching the degree at professionals moving into executive roles across corporate, government and not-for-profit sectors alike. The core 12-unit structure covers strategy, finance, marketing, economics and people management, and finishes with a substantive research or consulting project rather than a conventional exam.

An MBA (Plus) variant is available for students who want to go deeper in one functional area (human resource management, marketing, or international business) by adding four specialised units on top of the core program.

Work Integrated Learning is built into the online delivery model too: rather than a single internship, students work through applied projects set by real organisations, which UC positions as giving graduates a portfolio of demonstrated outcomes for job interviews rather than just a transcript.
