Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - Civil Engineering

UniSC's Civil Engineering (Honours) degree is accredited at Professional Engineer level by Engineers Australia and structured around 384 total units across four years, with the honours classification calculated from the mean mark across the 96 units of AQF8-level (400-coded) courses in the final stage of the degree, a fairly transparent way of determining honours class compared to some universities' more opaque weighting systems.

Core subjects run through the full range of civil engineering practice: structural design, road and traffic engineering, concrete design and technology, water and wastewater systems, and environmental engineering, with two dedicated engineering project courses providing the capstone research and design component. Students must also complete a minimum of 60 days of approved industry work experience, which UniSC treats as a hard requirement rather than an optional add-on.
