Master of Information and Communications Technology

UniSC's Master of ICT is built for people entering tech from somewhere else, and the program is upfront about it: 14 courses covering cybersecurity, data analytics, programming, and AI, deliverable in 14 months if a student pushes through fast or closer to two years at a normal pace. It runs across the Sunshine Coast, Adelaide, and online campuses simultaneously, which is a bit unusual for a postgrad ICT degree and reflects UniSC's broader push into flexible, multi-campus delivery over the last several years as it's grown from a regional university into a larger multi-state one.

The course is professionally accredited by the Australian Computer Society, and UniSC embeds vendor certifications directly into coursework rather than treating them as optional add-ons: Microsoft Security, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals shows up as a named credential students pick up along the way, which matters to employers scanning a resume for something concrete.

Students without an IT background start with foundational programming and systems courses before moving into the data-and-security-heavy back half of the degree, and the specialisation option lets students lean further into data management and analysis if that's the direction they're aiming for.
