About this program
UniSC's Bachelor of Science is a flexible, major-based science degree rather than a narrowly specified single-discipline qualification, letting students choose from majors spanning environmental science, biology, chemistry, marine science, and similar fields depending on the year's offering. Given the campus's location, the environmental and marine science options draw genuine advantage from proximity: the Sunshine Coast sits between coastal reef and estuary systems and the Great Sandy biosphere region, and UniSC's own research strengths (the university has notable output in coastal ecology and marine science) filter down into undergraduate field trips and lab work in a way a landlocked science faculty couldn't replicate.
