Bachelor of Commerce
University of Western Australia, Perth, WA, Australia
About this program
The Bachelor of Commerce is UWA's core business degree, run through the UWA Business School, which holds the AACSB and EQUIS dual accreditation that puts it among a small number of Australian business schools recognised at that level internationally. Majors span accounting, finance, economics, marketing, management and human resources, and students combine a major with a broad-based commerce core before specialising.
Perth's economy gives the degree a distinct regional flavour compared with a Sydney or Melbourne commerce degree: resources sector finance, mining company accounting and corporate roles tied to WA's energy and minerals sector feature more prominently in local graduate outcomes and industry connections than they would at an eastern-states business school, alongside the standard banking, consulting and professional services pathways common to any commerce degree.
Graduates pursue chartered accounting, finance and banking, corporate roles in the resources sector, and general management pathways, with UWA Business School's international accreditation carrying weight for graduates who look toward global rather than purely domestic careers.
