About this program
UWA's Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) is a four-year accredited degree: engineers here graduate with honours built in as standard, in line with the Washington Accord structure most Australian engineering schools now use rather than treating honours as an optional extra year. - Year 1: Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Mechanics, Introduction to Engineering Design, Chemistry or Physics foundation
- Year 2: specialisation stream begins (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Mining or Software Engineering), Thermodynamics or equivalent core unit, Engineering Computation
- Year 3: advanced specialisation units, industry-based project or internship, Professional Engineering Practice
- Year 4: capstone engineering design project, further advanced electives, honours thesis or major design project
Admissions
Completion of Year 12 (WACE or equivalent); ATAR of approximately 90+ with prerequisite Mathematics Methods and Physics or Chemistry.
