About this program
An APAC-accredited undergraduate psychology degree, the standard first step toward provisional and eventual general registration in Australia. Taught within the School of Psychology, which has research groups in areas such as early childhood development and clinical neuropsychology that feed into elective options and honours placements.
The degree is explicitly the first three years of the accreditation sequence: students who want to practise go on to a competitive, GPA-gated Honours year and then postgraduate clinical training. UOW's cohort size means the practicals (running small real research studies as coursework) happen in genuinely small groups rather than being simulated at scale.

- Year 1: Introduction to Psychology, Biological Psychology, Research Methods 1
- Year 2: Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Cognition, Research Methods 2 (statistics)
- Year 3: Abnormal Psychology, Personality, Psychological Assessment, Research Methods 3 (independent project)
- Honours (separate, competitive entry): thesis plus advanced coursework, required for the provisional registration pathway
