Bachelor of Arts

University of Wollongong, Wollongong, NSW, Australia

About this program

A fairly standard humanities generalist degree, whose distinguishing feature is breadth. UOW's BA covers majors from history and English literatures through creative writing, politics, sociology, and Asian studies, and it's genuinely flexible about double majors and combining with education, law, or science. It runs through the Faculty of the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities.

Because Wollongong's cohort is smaller than the capital-city sandstones, tutorials tend to run at a size where students get to know staff by name. The creative writing major in particular has built a local reputation through a student anthology the program publishes each year.
