Bachelor of Communication and Media
University of Wollongong, Wollongong, NSW, Australia
About this program
Run through the School of the Arts, English and Media, this degree covers journalism, digital media production, public relations, and media studies as combinable strands rather than forcing an early major choice. UOW has invested in student-run media output, a digital publication and campus radio-adjacent projects, that functions as informal work experience alongside the formal internship subject.
It's a smaller program than the media schools at bigger metro universities, which in practice means more hands-on time per student on the video and podcast equipment rather than queueing for bookings.
