Bachelor of Data Science and Decisions

University of Wollongong, Wollongong, NSW, Australia

About this program

A newer-generation undergraduate degree pairing statistics and computing with decision science and business analytics, pitched at the gap between a pure CS degree and a pure statistics degree, aimed at students who want to work as analysts or data scientists rather than software engineers or statisticians specifically. Taught jointly by the business faculty and computing school, which shows up in units combining optimisation and decision theory with programming and machine learning.

Because it's a relatively new offering, cohort sizes are still modest, and the school has used that to keep project work genuinely individualised rather than templated group assignments.
