Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - Software Engineering

UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia

About this program

A four-year, 168-unit accredited engineering degree combining engineering design fundamentals with computing depth. It starts with the same common engineering core as UNSW's other engineering majors (Engineering Design and Innovation, first-year maths and computing) before specialising into software architecture, systems design, and software project management from second year. Distinct from the standalone CS degree in its engineering accreditation and heavier emphasis on large-scale system design and formal engineering process.

The degree requires a minimum of 60 days of industrial training, which the faculty helps place, often with Sydney's large tech, finance, and telecommunications employers given UNSW's location and industry relationships.
