Master of Business Administration

Western Sydney University, Sydney, NSW, Australia

About this program

Western Sydney University's MBA runs out of the Parramatta City campus and is pitched deliberately at working professionals across Greater Western Sydney's public sector, health, education and logistics employers rather than assuming a Sydney CBD finance-and-consulting cohort. Case material and guest teaching draw heavily on the region's own major employers. Western Sydney has become a genuine economic centre in its own right, particularly with the new Western Sydney Airport precinct under construction and the associated business and government investment that's followed it.

The core spine covers strategy, finance, marketing and leadership as any MBA would, but WSU frames its differentiator as a stronger focus on public sector and not-for-profit management alongside standard corporate strategy, reflecting the composition of its actual student cohort more than it does at some private-sector-oriented MBA programs.

Most students complete the degree part-time while working, with evening and block-intensive delivery options, and the capstone is typically an applied strategy project connected to the student's own workplace or a partner organisation rather than a purely theoretical case study exercise.
