Bachelor of Business

Western Sydney University, Sydney, NSW, Australia

About this program

The Bachelor of Business at Western Sydney University is built around a broad first year of shared foundation subjects before students commit to a major. Accounting, finance, marketing, management, international business, and a few others are typically on offer, with the option to combine two majors within the same degree rather than being locked into one professional identity from day one.

WSU's School of Business runs primarily out of Parramatta City campus, in the heart of what's increasingly called Sydney's "second CBD," and the course leans on that location for placement and internship partnerships with the growing corporate and government presence that's moved into Parramatta over the last decade (several state government departments have relocated headquarters there, along with a number of corporate regional offices).

A work-integrated learning subject is standard in the final year, and accounting-track students need to check their specific subject combination against CPA Australia or CAANZ requirements to ensure it satisfies those professional body pathways, since the degree's flexible major system means not every combination automatically ticks every accreditation box.
