About this program

The Graduate Diploma in Aviation at Adelaide University is a technical flight training program delivered with Flight Training Adelaide at Parafield Airport. Entry is by invitation only, for students currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Aviation majoring in Pilot. Students obtain the skills, knowledge and competencies to test for a Commercial Pilot Licence and Multi-engine Command Instrument Rating, professional qualifications recognised by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and the International Civil Aviation Organisation. Students take courses in advanced flying, aircraft navigation, night flying and instrument flying, complete ground simulator lessons and are mentored by experienced flight instructors, graduating ready to work as a first officer or pilot-in-command.
