About this program
This two-year masters at Adelaide University teaches the practical side of artificial intelligence rather than pure theory. The first year covers programming, data systems and core IT concepts before the degree moves into AI subjects: computer vision, deep learning architectures, generative AI, natural language processing, network modelling, and robotics and autonomous systems. Students finish with an industry-based project. Entry requires a bachelor degree with a grade point average of about 4.5 on a 7-point scale and IELTS 6.5. Study is split across the Adelaide City and Mawson Lakes campuses. The program is provisionally accredited at professional level by the Australian Computer Society and is recognised internationally through the Seoul Accord, so graduates are eligible for ACS membership. Career paths include AI consultant, AI data analyst, digital strategist and AI policy specialist across healthcare, finance, technology and research.
