About this program

A two-year master's (96 units) that is the accredited professional qualification for people who already hold an engineering bachelor's degree and want the credential recognised for practice. It is offered in discipline streams such as electrical, mechanical, and civil. Core courses cover professional engineering management, discipline-specific technical subjects, engineering data analytics, a design project, and a two-part masters research project, plus about 450 hours of industry placement.

Entry requires a four-year bachelor's or honours degree in a relevant engineering field and IELTS 6.5. Early exit points exist (graduate certificate at six months, graduate diploma at one year). The program holds provisional Engineers Australia accreditation with Washington Accord recognition expected after the first cohort graduates. Some courses run across the city and Mawson Lakes campuses.
