About this program
The Bachelor of Criminology is a three-year degree at ANU's Acton campus that addresses the causes, politics and management of crime and criminal justice from a range of disciplinary perspectives. Students study definitions and representations of crime, the social, political and individual factors behind criminal activity, and the operation of the criminal justice system, with courses on policing, courts, prisons and punishment, organised and transnational crime, drugs, and young people and crime. The degree has a strong focus on critical thinking and empirical methods, providing skills that translate across careers. Graduates work in policy and research, crime prevention and community safety, corrections and justice agencies, intelligence and data analysis, and roles across government and the non-government sector.
