About this program
The Master of History is a one-year postgraduate program at ANU's Acton campus, surrounded by national cultural institutions and taught by internationally renowned staff with strengths in Australian, North American, ancient, early modern and modern European, and British history, and leading centres for Indigenous, environmental and biographical history. Students gain theoretical grounding and practical skills for advanced study and tailor a program to their interests, with the resources of the National Library, National Archives, National Museum and National Gallery at hand. Graduates work in research, teaching, archives, museums, heritage and writing.
