About this program
The Master of Ministry (MMin) is a professional graduate program for those who already hold a degree in another discipline and feel called to serve as ministers of the Gospel. It integrates biblical knowledge with practical experience, including church placements and an externship, and can be studied on campus or online. Admissions
An Australian Bachelor's degree or higher, or a comparable overseas qualification. Applicants must provide a satisfactory Pastoral Recommendation Form completed by their church pastor, agree to Avondale Seminary's Code of Professional Ethics, provide a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check, and demonstrate active church involvement (2 years post baptism for Seventh-day Adventist applicants, or equivalent for other denominations). From 2025, all incoming theology students must also undertake psychological testing at their own expense, as recommended by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
