About this program

Bond's Bachelor of Journalism is a two-year degree (six semesters) that can be extended to a bachelor plus master's in three years. First year teaches newsroom reporting, feature writing, content creation, and digital publishing alongside three of Bond's core subjects; second year adds a major or minor chosen from more than 15 options. Students produce podcasts, video packages, television segments, news and magazine articles, and published websites.

The faculty runs a dedicated newsroom, a three-camera television studio, audio suites, and more than 40 editing stations. Internships are arranged with organisations including the ABC, Channel 7, Channel 10, and The Guardian, and Bond runs overseas reporting placements in New York, Washington, Beijing, and London. The portfolio students build across the degree is the main thing they take to employers.
