About this program
A pre-university course run by Bond University College for students who have finished school but do not yet meet the academic requirements for direct bachelor entry, including many international students whose qualifications sit below Australian Year 12. It runs about nine to ten months and combines academic subjects with English and study skills, taught in small classes. On completion at the required standard, students progress into the first year of a Bond bachelor's degree. It suits school leavers who need a recognised bridging year before starting an undergraduate degree at Bond.

Course structure
- The Foundation Program is organised as a set of subject strands rather than a standard degree major
- delivered as eight 10-credit-point subjects taught in small classes over about nine to ten months: BCFN01-003 Foundation Mathematics 1 (bringing quantitative skills up to university entry standard)
- BCFN01-010Foundation English 1 and BCFN01-012 Foundation English 2 (academic reading, writing, speaking and listening)
- BCFN01-021Foundation Mathematics 2 (probability and statistics, functions, geometry, trigonometry and differential calculus for students heading into health sciences, construction or business)
- BCFN01-022Modern History (major conflicts and ideological forces from 1914 to the present)
- BCPP01-001Communication and Culture 1 and BCPP01-002 Communication and Culture 2 (media, rhetoric, academic writing and referencing, extended to World War I and II and Civil Rights case studies)
- and BCPP01-003 Digital Solutions (digital literacy and multimedia skills for university study). There is no elective choice: all students complete the same subject set before progressing into a Bond bachelor's degree
Admissions
Completion of Australian Year 11 (or equivalent secondary schooling); the Foundation Program prepares students for direct entry into a Bond bachelor's degree.
