Master of Communication
Bond University, Gold Coast, QLD, Australia
About this program
Bond University's Master of Communication is a one-year degree (three semesters) that combines coursework with a required research component. Students choose between a major research project of 20,000 to 25,000 words with eight coursework subjects, or a shorter research paper or professional portfolio with 11 coursework subjects. First semester includes a research methods and data visualisation subject.
Research and elective focus areas include journalism, advertising, social media, marketing, leadership, and public relations, with students setting their own research topic. The research requirement makes this a stronger fit for students considering a PhD or research-linked career than a purely applied communication master's would be.
