Master of Communication (Professional)
Bond University, Gold Coast, QLD, Australia
About this program
The work-integrated learning version of Bond's Master of Communication. The coursework mirrors the standard degree, combining subjects across journalism, advertising, social media, marketing, leadership and public relations with a required research methods and data visualisation subject, and students can weight the program toward a research project or a professional portfolio. The Professional version adds a compulsory 20-week Work Integrated Learning component in the final semester: a placement in an Australian organisation plus a reflective portfolio, undertaken after all coursework is finished, which extends the degree by about one semester. It is open to international students only; domestic students take the standard Master of Communication. It suits students who want supervised industry experience in Australia as part of the qualification rather than an add-on.
