Master of International Hotel and Tourism Management (Professional)
Bond University, Gold Coast, QLD, Australia
About this program
The work-integrated learning version of Bond's Master of International Hotel and Tourism Management. The coursework is the same eight core subjects plus electives, moving from tourism and hospitality management issues, sustainable tourism and people management through revenue management and tourism analysis to marketing analytics, with industry contact through guest lecturers and live projects from operators such as Marriott, Accor, IHG and Star Entertainment. The Professional version formalises that into a compulsory 20-week Work Integrated Learning component in the final semester: a placement in an Australian tourism or hospitality organisation plus a professional portfolio, taken after coursework, adding about one semester. Accredited by AACSB and EQUIS. It is open to international students only; domestic students take the standard degree. It suits students aiming at management roles who want a supervised Australian placement in the qualification.
