About this program
The Bachelor of Midwifery at Charles Darwin University is a professionally accredited degree that qualifies graduates to register as a midwife, recognised by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Students study online with intensive clinical teaching blocks or on campus, full-time or part-time, learning from experts in the field. Graduates provide woman-centred, evidence-based care for women, babies and families throughout the childbearing journey in a variety of settings, with a particular focus on rural, remote and First Nations Australians, supporting women's childbearing choices across pregnancy, birth, postnatal and newborn periods.
