Charles Darwin University's Doctor of Philosophy is a research-only doctorate: candidates carry out an original, substantial program of research under two or more supervisors and present the findings as a thesis or another approved research output. CDU's research priorities lean toward tropical, regional and remote health, environmental studies in the Northern Territory, energy and resources, engineering, social and public policy for Northern Australia, community resilience, and cybersecurity, so applicants proposing work in these areas often find the strongest fit with available supervision.
