About this program

The Master of Applied Linguistics at Charles Darwin University prepares students for the analysis, evaluation and application of linguistic understandings to language, its use and its role in various contexts. Students build theoretical foundations in applied linguistics, with a focus on the contextualised evaluation of language that can be applied to theoretical analysis or to the professional development of linguists, language teachers, TESOL practitioners and education policy makers, with directed engagement with First Nations, Australian, Asian and global content. Study is available on campus or online, full-time or part-time.
