About this program

Curtin University's Master of International Security degree. This course provides an understanding of contemporary issues in international security with a particular emphasis on the practice of good statecraft. It explores the traditional topics of war, peace and strategy, as well as newer dimensions of security, including the environment and climate change, disinformation and cyber power, humanitarian and cultural issues, transnational networks, and emerging technologies. Master Degrees (Coursework) prepare students to apply advanced knowledge for professional practice, scholarship and further learning corresponding to AQF level 9 qualifications.

Admissions

A three- or four-year Bachelor degree in a relevant field, OR successful completion of a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in International Relations or related field. Applicants for a Master Degree (Coursework) are required to meet University academic and English language entry standards; Subject to the duration of the course applicants usually require a Bachelor Degree or equivalent (and may require relevant work experience), Bachelor Honours Degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma.
